Building Use Policy

  1. Requests for use of Church facilities will be made on the prescribed form and be submitted to the Rector or Wardens at least 4 weeks prior to the event. The request shall be specific as to what rooms of the Church are to be used.

  2. Requests for a one time use will be acted upon by the Wardens and Rector within 10 days of the submission of the request.

  3. Requests for a continuing use will be acted upon by the Vestry within 35 days of the submission of the request.

  4. Any request must be accompanied with proof of liability insurance in the amount of at least $1 million dollars. After the approval of the request the Church must be added to the insurance policy as a named insured. Individuals may be able to obtain "Event” policies for this coverage.

  5. Any set up required for the event will be done by the event sponsor. At the end of the event the building is to be secured, lights turned off, thermostats set back , trash removed, and all doors locked by the person in charge of the event and/or a member of the Parish, when deemed necessary.

  6. Parking for the event shall not be allowed in the fire lane of the driveway.

  7. No alcoholic beverages will be allowed on church property.

  8. No smoking will be allowed on Church property, including all Church grounds.

  9. Sponsor must sign copy of this policy acknowledging receipt of same as well as Waiver of Liability.

  10. If requested by the Church, the Sponsor will provide personal references.

  11. Any damage done to the Church property will be charged to the Sponsor of the event and will be paid to the Church within 10 days of receipt of bill from Church.

  12. Fees for Use (includes sexton duties)
    Use by parishioners: $50.00 for one-time use
    Use by non-parishoners (individuals): $100 for one-time use
    Use by nonprofit organizations: $100.00 for one time use
    Fees for a continuing use will be negotiated between the parties and approved by the Vestry.

  13. The granting authority, either, the Wardens and Rector or the Vestry, shall have the right to waive the fees stated herein.
