"In the same way, let your light shine before (all) that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:16). Fall is a season of transitions, and as summer fades and winter approaches, the work of the harvest is in full swing. I think of the gathering of the fruits, of people preserving food and planning for the time ahead. We are also called to harvest our own gifts and resources in order to use them to for God's work; helping to build up the community of faith and helping to respond to those in need. It is also a time for giving thanks for all that we have been given.
At the Church of the Resurrection, we strive to provide time and opportunities to engage in community building, servant ministry (reaching out to those in need) and for faith development. We would like to extend an invitation to you to come and join us. Our Sunday service is at 9:30am and we are located at 120 West 5th St. Oswego. May you be aware of God's blessings and in turn strive to be a blessing to others.
