March 8 :  Book Club Meeting

Recreation Readers Book Club

Our winter months are a good season for finding a warm spot to cozy up with a good book. With this in mind, the Recreation Readers have selected an interesting collection of books to discuss during the next few months.  The February selection, “Sanctus” by Simon Toyne, was a fascinating page turner that was enjoyed by the group. For March, the group will discuss “Beyond Religion” by the Dali Lama, one of the most influential religious leaders of our time.  The selection for April is” City of Thieves” by David Benioff.  This novel has been chosen as the SUNY Oswego Reading Initiative  selection for 2012-13.  In May, “The Snow Child” by Eowyn Ivey will be the featured book. The books are available at the River’s End bookstore with a discount if you mention the Recreation Readers.   In addition, the meeting nights for the next two months will be changed as follows:

March Meeting:   Thursday March 8 at 6:30 in the Oswego Public Library

April Meeting:      Tuesday April  10 at 6:30

May Meeting:       Tuesday May 1 at 6:30
